SCUBA EXPERIENCE

Looking to get your feet wet....... but not ready to take the plunge?   This is the class for you.  This program will allow you to apply your aquatic skills at SCUBA DIVING.  You will be introduced to Basic Scuba skills while enjoying the thrill of breathing underwater.   We are sure you will enjoy the experience and continue to become a CERTIFIED DIVER.  All equipment is provided for this Underwater Scuba Experience.

BASIC OPENWATER DIVER

Phase I of your Open Water SCUBA Diving course will involve 28-30 hours of classroom and pool activities. Classroom materials are contained in the DEEP SIX PACK (consisting of: Textbook "Scuba Diver", 2 Pack DVD, Waterproof Dive Tables, DDS Student Workbook, DDS Student Homework, Logbook, pen and pencil.)

PHASE II of your NAUI/YMCA Scuba Certification involves five Openwater Training Dives. You will have different options to complete your five dives.
     A) Local Training in Ohio, generally on a Sat. & Sun.
     B) Tropical Training Trips with Deep Six Specialists, Inc.

     C) Universal Referral Program for any vacation or trip you have planned.
 

BASIC SCUBA REFRESHER COURSE - Next refresher is April 22, 2008

THE BASIC SCUBA DIVER REFRESHER is designed for individuals who have not been diving in the past 6 months to 3 years. This is a combination of academics. (Dive tables, dive computers, dive planning, air management, log book recording), and pool activates (basic scuba skill review, air emergencies, buoyancy control, descents/ascents, entries and exits).
 

 

ADVANCED SCUBA DIVER COURSE Next Class Starts April 25, 2008

Learn:
      Pre-class assignments to establish a common background and overview of the upcoming Advanced  
                        Scuba Diver academic topics.


Plan:          Two – 3-hour academic sessions with your instructor.  During your planning session you will put your
                        pre-class assignments into action.

Execute:  Part A ~ during the pool session, all divers will have the opportunity to review basic skills and 
                         practice advanced openwater diver skills of Buoyancy & Trim, Deep Water, Out of Air Skills, Compass
                         Patterns and Underwater Signals.


                        Part B ~ Let the fun begin – Now you are ready for the openwater.....  
                        With all the academics and confined water behind you – you can enjoy underwater navigation, practice
                        rescue skills with a pony system, check out the aquatic life during a night dive, experience deeper water
                        diving (60-90 ft),  search and recovery of a lost object using a lift bag, during an underwater salvage
                        dive and an underwater exploration dive.

Equipment Required:  Full scuba system with cold water regulator, computer and compass, 19 cuft pony system with regulator and spg ~ set up as NTEC configuration.  (rentals are available).   

Personal Equipment Required:  Underwater slate, primary light, backup light, dive knife.

THE MASTER SCUBA DIVER COURSE is the next level beyond the Advanced Diver Course. You will personally increase your level of diving enjoyment and skills via a wide range of activities. This is an excellent progression towards the NAUI Leadership roles and or in becoming a Technical Diver. THE NAUI ADVANCED DIVER - MASTER DIVER COMBO

Overview:  The Advanced Diver - Master Diver Combination Course is for those divers who want the very best in sport
diver properness.  Emphasis is on student participation and practical application of knowledge.  This is not just quarry
diving, this is a Diving Adventure where you will have the opportunity to travel to Lake Erie and Lake Huron and do some
great ship wreck diving and river diving.  The Combo Course is an excellent progression towards becoming a Tech and or NAUI Leadership Diver.

The Combo Course is taught in segments.  You can arrange your participation to fit into a fast or slow completion rate.

Open Water Dives:  A minimum of fourteen openwater dives with a maximum of three dives per day.
