BASIC OPENWATER DIVER
Become a certified
diver through the Deep Six Specialists, Inc. Underwater Training
School. Join the thousands of people who have already
discovered the enjoyment of Scuba Diving. Internationally
recognized training taught by Deep Six Specialists, Inc. is
safe, fun and rewarding. Your training will cover three vital
areas: Academics, Pool and Open Water Scuba Dives.
Phase I of your Open Water SCUBA Diving course will involve 28 hours of
educational classroom and pool activities.
Phase I is offered in
three different formats:
1.
Standard Format of 6 sessions.
Courses meet once or twice a week.
2. Semi Accelerated Format
with NAUI E-learning.
6 sessions, completed over two weekends,
Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
3. An Accelerated Format with
NAUI E-learning.
Students complete on-line readings and pre-
test prior to coming to their first session. The
E-learning format does not reduce your water time. No
amount of reading and viewing videos will replace
actual in water scuba skill development. Your
classroom contact hours with your NAUI Scuba
Instructor will be less, but not completely eliminated.
Personal, professional contact will insure you
learn the fundamentals of becoming an Openwater Scuba
Diver. The Accelerated Format can meet once a
week, or be compressed into a Friday, Saturday and
Sunday format.
4. Private Lesson
Format
Having difficulty meeting one of our course dates? You and one
or more
students can setup your own course to your needs.
Phase I: Academics & Pool
Our time tested methods give you plenty of
learning flexibility.
Equipment:
You will need to provide your own personal scuba quality
mask, snorkel, fins and boots. Wetsuits
are available for your pool dives. If you get cold easy,
you will want to rent or purchase your own personal
tropical wetsuit. We provide scuba cylinders, air fills,
regulators, air pressure gauge, dive computer, compass
and buoyancy compensators for the pool training.
Learning
Materials: Your Deep
Six Pac includes a 2 disc DVD set, NAUI Scuba Diver Text
Book, NAUI
RGBM Dive Tables, Logbook, DSS Student Study Guide, DSS
and NAUI Homework Quizzes, NAUI Pen,
Pencil, Class Material Portfolio Bag and access to the
On-line NAUI E-Learning materials. This entire Deep
Six Pac is yours to keep, even the DVD set.
PHASE II of your
NAUI Scuba Certification involves five Openwater
Training Dives. You will have different options to complete your
five dives.
A) Local Training in Ohio, generally on a Sat. &
Sun.
B) Tropical Training Trips with Deep Six
Specialists, Inc.
C) Universal Referral Program for any vacation or trip you
have planned.
